Tropical Twisters scores 14 goals – highest for the Championship so far

Tropical Twisters whipped through the sand on day two of the Barbados Beach Soccer Championship 2025, held on Sunday October 12th at Browne’s Beach in St Michael.

Tropical Twisters put 14 goals past Turtle Brave without a reply from their opponents. Javon Alleyne led the goal feast scoring three, and skillfully supported by Thierry Corbin, along with Shaquille Gittens and Paul Padmore who also scored two goals each.

The 14-goal winning margin is the biggest so far on record since the tournament, which seeks to revive Beach Soccer in Barbados, began on October 5th.

In the opening game on Sunday October 12^th, Sea Breeze slammed Wave Runners by three goals to nil with Jabari Brandford slotting in a brace, whilst Jamal Chandler knocked home the other.

Tropical Thunder were also in fine form as they comfortably defeated Southern Ray by five goals to two, with Khalique Bowen the main contributor slamming in two goals, ably supported by Akel Inniss, Corian Skeete and Jamar Grazette who scored one apiece.

In other results Island Invincibles defeated Solar Strikers by five goals to four, Bay Challengers got the better of Trident Tide by three goals to two, whilst Pelican Pirates also won by three goals to two against Island Wave.

In the final game of the day Sunshine United defeated Bajan Spartans by six goals to five, with  Michael Clarke leading the charge with a brace, supported by one each from Israel Rock, Torian Hinds, Deondre Ward and Kareen Springer. Shavid Maynard scored all five goals for Bajan Spartans.

The Barbados Beach Soccer Tournament 2025 continues on Saturday October 18th and Sunday October 19th at Browne’s Beach, St Michael, from 10 am to 4 pm daily.

The Barbados Beach Soccer Competition is an initiative of the Sports Development Unit in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment in collaboration with the Barbados Football Association.

24 teams in the tournament are competing for a first prize of ten thousand dollars with the finals being set for Sunday November 16th, 2025.  The tournament has gained corporate support from Nation News, Rude Boy, Dasani Water and Powerade.
